• Alexander Graham Bell. The Bell National Historic Site is located in the village where, for more than 35 years, Bell conducted numerous scientific experiments

• Sailing and boating tours on the Bras d'Or Lakes, leaving every few hours from government wharf in Baddeck

• Visit the Fortress of Louisbourg — the largest reconstructed 18th-century French fortified town in North America.

• Bell Bay Golf Club, designed by internationally acclaimed golf architect Thomas McBroom, boasts 18 holes of exceptional golf and was awarded Best New Course in Canada for 1998 by Golf Digest magazine

• A taste of farm life as experienced by the early Scottish settlers at the Nova Scotia Highland Village Museum captures the lifestyle of the late 1800's.

• The Gaelic College of Celtic Arts and Crafts at St.Ann's is the only Gaelic College in North America where the Gaelic is taught, as well as piping, drumming and Gaelic singing. Daily traditional ceilidhs are performed for the enjoyment of visitors.

• We highly recommend a visit to the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre in Judique.  Music, dancing, and more.

• Visit the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design where creativity, craftsmanship, beauty, and function find expression in the work of Cape Breton artisans.

• For nine days in October, Cape Breton Island is home to a unique celebration of music and culture as the Celtic Colours International Festival presents dozens of concerts all over the island.

• Tour the only single malt whisky distillery in North America.

• Check out the annual Feis an Eilein Festival.

• Boating enthusiasts enjoy 450 square miles of fog-free waters on the Bras d'Or Lakes beautiful inland sea, one of the best sailing locations in the world.
