Our Granville Green concert series, each Sunday evening during July and August, features some of Canada's best touring artists.
The Ship Harbour Days Festival is held August 23, 24 and 25, with events and activities for everyone.
We are approximately one hour's drive through the scenic island to Baddeck and the Cabot Trail.
Other area attractions include:
- Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, settled in 1713 - an authentic replication of life in the 18th century, complete with live interpreters in period costume portraying the townspeople
- Golfing at Dundee Golf Resort - one of Cape Breton's 'fabulous foursome'
- The Port Hastings Museum - a large photography collection, artifacts about the history of the area and the building of the Canso Causeway. Some of these historic photographs can be viewed on display in Miller's Tap & Grill.
- Fleur-de-lis Trail which showcases the Acadian presence on the island - artisan galleries and shops, excellent quality crafts and pottery
- Ceilidh Trail skirting the Gulf of St. Lawrence with pastoral scenes and windswept hillsides, merging with The Cabot Trail at Margaree Forks
